nationality win a major title when she won the 2021 US Open.

her MBE.

The 20-year-old was awarded the honour for services to tennis during a ceremony at

Raducanu won the US Open in September 2021 aged 18.

She became the first British woman to win a Grand Slam singles title since Virginia Wade in

1977.

In winning the US Open, she became the first qualifier of any nationality win a major

title.

Raducanu reached a career-high of number ten in the world rankings in July 2022, but has

since fallen to 75 in the list.

The defence of her title in New York ended in disappointment this year as she went out in

the first round to Alize Cornet.
